LEGACIES
Have you considered leaving a Legacy?
About 40 years ago I left Bath University, so you will appreciate
how surprised I was to receive in the post, just after my 60th birthday,
a letter and booklet requesting that I consider leaving in my 'will'
a legacy/gift for the University. Having looked at this booklet
I felt it was such a good idea and a very special way to say 'thank-you'
for the support during my student days.
If you have personally suffered a stroke, as I have or have an
interest in stroke, you may like to consider doing something similar
for BASF. It is also a special way of remembering your friends and
others in a similar situation.
A legacy can be made to provide funds for supporting the running
costs of services to stroke affected individuals and their family
or to support a local stroke group.
Whatever age you are it is important to make a will to ensure that
your wishes are carried out. Professional advice is worth taking
to make sure you get the most benefit when completing your will.
It is also worth remembering that gifts to a charity can be tax-free.
